We currently work out of Palotoa, a Machiguenga community with a lodge that accommodates up to 15 people.  Plant dietas are only available in Manu.

It is a privilege for us to work in the indigenous communities here. These people are the guardians of the jungle, and have learned how to survive in special conditions to develop work with the plants . Their culture and beliefs may seem foreign to you.  Please keep an open mind and be respectful of their traditions.

We recommend that you have flexibility when you travel to Manu.  Heavy rains and flooding are common, and can often delay travel.  There is a daily bus from Cusco to the village of Salvacion, where we will meet.  The following day we take a local bus to the other villages. We can arrange all transportation for you from Cusco.

There are no ATM's in the villages in Manu.  There is a bank in Salvacion that can change dollars to soles. Make sure to bring enough cash with you so you can enjoy your time here or have the flexibility to extend your stay.

In the village of Salvacion, there are two internet cafes and one hostel with wifi. Internet (and electricity for that matter) are not the most reliable out here, so be prepared for a digital detox!

Le recomendamos que tenga flexibilidad cuando viaje a Manu. Las fuertes lluvias y las inundaciones son comunes en febrero y marzo, y a menudo pueden retrasar el viaje. Hay un autobús diario desde Cusco hasta el pueblo de Salvacion, donde nos encontraremos. El día siguiente tomamos un autobús local a los otros pueblos. Podemos organizar todo el transporte para usted desde Cusco.

Estamos en el proceso de desarrollar dos programas de trabajo: uno para agricultura sostenible, reforestación y conservación; y otro programa para ser voluntario en un hogar grupal para niños indígenas.

No hay cajeros automáticos en los pueblos de Manu. Hay un banco en Salvacion que puede cambiar dólares a soles. Asegúrese de llevar suficiente efectivo para que pueda disfrutar de su tiempo aquí o tener la flexibilidad de extender su estadía.

En el pueblo de Salvacion, hay dos cibercafés y un albergue con wifi. Internet (y electricidad para el caso) no son los más confiables aquí, así que prepárate para una desintoxicación digital.
